Shadid Project: Completed in July 2005

Here is a layout of the pool after our first meeting with the owners. We do this on most every first meeting so the customer can live with the design for a couple of days. Originally they wanted a rectangle pool. Well I would rather build a freeform pool.

Here a worker cleans the hole after excavation. As you notice this is a very clean dig. Excavation is the first and maybe the most important step in pool construction.

This is the business end of the concrete hose. We shoot a 8" wall and 8" floor.

Here everyone pulls together during the shot. You can see the owner in the upper right of this photo. That's me in the upper left, cutting the skimmer throat.

Above is a shot of the floor going in. The raised spa and raised bond beam is 14" above the pool. This worked out just great. You can see the rock pocket in the wall. This will receive dry stack stone.

Here is the finished shell. This phase was completed at about 10:30 in the morning. We got an early start.

This is about two weeks later. We are finished with the pool. Here is a look at our stamped coping. We take great pride in our finish work.

Above is a shot at our coping bull nose. It is designed to mimic rock. It looks rough but it is smooth to the touch.

One year later we went back to the Shadid house and applied an Arizona Flagstone overlay on the back patio.
